Baton Rouge, Louisiana, US

Due to the fact that I have lived in fourteen different cities I feel as though I am justified in making the broad, sweeping statements that I will make here about Baton Rouge, Louisiana, US.

Never have I had so much bad luck with consumer issues in one city than I had with Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Not sure how one particular city can be so consistently bad in terms of finding businesses that will treat the consumer right but suffice it to say, this particular city is a terrible place to live if  you want to be treated fairly in business.

When asking natives of Baton Rouge why there are so many ripoff businesses in their city the typical response was, "It is not what you know, but who you know."  This town takes elitism to a new level and this was especially evident in business dealings as it was quite noticeable that the people we dealt with were always careful to find out whether not we were natives or not.

I guess in summary the problems I had with Baton Rouge can best be summed up in the various ratings that this city gets.  Whether it be education or the roadway systems you will find this city, and state to be rated as one of the lowest of all the states in the Union.  It's general infrastructure is so poorly planned and put together that it starts to make sense why so many aspects of this city are poor in comparison to the rest of the country.

For goodness sakes, do not live in this city!  I would say that if you were offered a job that payed more than any other job you could find around this country that it should be an exponential increase in income for you to even consider living in this god forsaken city.
